Artistic framing workshops

Dominique Lesaffre leads the artistic framing workshops in our studio.

Dominique is from France and she learned her craft from old framing masters in Paris. The types of frames offered by her are characterized by extremely careful and precise passe-partout in sundry varieties.

All this in order for the presented work, be it graphics, drawing, photography or miniature, to gain additional value. Frame and passe-partout are not designed to capture the attention from the actual work with their splendour and luscious form—they serve the purpose of presenting the work in its best light. It takes time, patience and precision to make such a framing. However, the effect can be exceptional.
