Not only does it introduce them step by step into the arcana of this craft, but it also reveals the secrets of working in a medieval scriptorium. During the classes, participants learn to use different medieval hands, from the subtle uncial minocycline without prescription<\/a> , which is still rooted in the world of antiquity, to the flaming Gothic bastarda. In addition, students try modern and old tools and writing materials and learn the elements of the illuminating technique on the example of an historiated initial.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The practical classes are accompanied by a series of lectures devoted to medieval manuscripts: from the history of Latin writing to the technical aspects of book production, all of which are accompanied by plenty of anecdotes that bring the minds and colours of the epoch closer.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Together with the course \u201cABC of an Illuminator\u201d, the \u201cABC of a Scribe\u201d workshops provide a comprehensive, two-year introduction to the art of Latin calligraphy and medieval book painting.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Practical classes are conducted by Kamil Bachmi\u0144ski,<\/p>\n https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kamil.bachminski\/<\/a> <\/p>\n lectures by Dr Magdalena \u0141anuszka, art historian, academic lecturer, author of the blog \u201cPosztukiwania\u201d, radio broadcasts and articles in the cultural weekly \u201cTygodnik Powszechny\u201d.<\/p>\n
